Our Commitment to Our Community
Mindful Elevation is committed to supporting responsible and ethical operations that promote the Elevation of our community.
We hope this website’s content demonstrates one of many future contributions to that mission.
This post is the first step in our plan to this aim. Here are some other ways we honor the Spirit of Elevation.
Bald Eagle at Evergreen Lake, August 2025
Environment. “Leave No Trace” is a wilderness motto we honor in our respect and love for the beauty of nature. We incorporate sustainable environmental practices such as recycling and we use low-impact materials and non-toxic cleaning supplies that limit pollution because we care about the Earth and all its inhabitants.
Social-Cultural. As natural medicine facilitators and professional therapists, we are stewards of the healing arts that recognize and honor the ancient practices of Indigenous communities all over the world that have established a foundation and processes for working with natural medicines to help heal their community. In this light, we emphasize cultural humility and encourage continued education for cultural competence from our healers in their natural medicine facilitation.
We also recognize the critical role we play at this moment as stewards of a psychedelic medicine renaissance in a field that advances powerful transformative medicines through scientific rigor within a culture that has harbored stigma towards psychedelic medicines. We will work to educate the public about the science and practice of natural medicine and we will model ethical and professional service to help reduce the cultural stigma of these healing medicines so that they become more acceptable to those who suffer with mental health conditions or seek greater understanding of their psyche.
We are also committed to increasing accessibility to natural medicines. We currently offer discounts for Veterans and first responders. In time, we will develop a DORA approved training program that increases our ability to offer sliding scale and pro-bono services to marginalized populations by offering practicum and trainee services and opportunities for hosting facilitators interested in providing pro-bono or sliding scale services for marginalized populations.
Governance. We are committed to non-discrimination hiring practices of facilitators and staff of diverse cultural backgrounds who are guided by ethical and professional care of clients and the community. We adhere with all Natural Medicine Health Act laws and promoting the ethical practice of regulated natural medicine as outlined by the Colorado Department of Natural Medicine, the Department of Regulatory Agencies, and Department of Revenue.
